MIXED UP CRAFT

DIY Cork Coasters with Gift Box

I’ve had loads of A5 adhesive cork sheets lying around for ages. I done some die cutting with them a while back but that’s it, then A light bulb moment hit me with the idea to use them and make some coasters.

These were so quick to make and I think they look so lovely, I’m using them as i’m writing this blog post.

To make these you will need…

Cork sheets mine are from Docrafts

If you cant get hold of these ones and only plain ones then you can buy double sided sticky sheets from Stix2 and make them up yourselves.

A large heart die, I used mine from by Xcut from Docrafts however they are no longer available but any plain heart die will do, or any shape for that matter, just make sure its not to intricate as the cork can be tricky to pick out.

Some strong card for the inside, I die cut 3 pieces of white card and sandwiched them between the 2 cork pieces.

For the box I used my trusty Kraft Card again by Docrafts

You will need 2 pieces of 5.7/8 x 5.3/4 card to make the gift box

Check out my tutorial below to see how I made them.

These will make lovely gifts and perfect for selling at craft fairs.

Happy crafting
