MIXED UP CRAFT

Easy Origami Hanging Photo Frame

Hello all and Happy New Year 2018

I’m feeling surprisingly fresh this morning which is probably due to the 2 hour walk me and my husband had to do last night as we couldn’t get a taxi from anywhere!…so the very cold walk home helped burn off all that food and drink!

To kick start 2018 and for my first tutorial of the year I have these pretty

Easy Origami Hanging Photo Frames

You can use these a few ways and in any size as long as its a equal sided square piece of paper.

I’ve kept all of mine as photo frames however if you flip over the design you will have little pockets which hold receipts, appointment cards etc so it works well as a organiser  or memo holder.

To make these you will need…

8 pieces of any sized square paper and 8 pieces of slightly smaller square paper, for example I used 8 pieces of 6 x 6 for the bigger outer frame and then 8 pieces of 4 x 4 for the smaller inner frame.

The paper I used are the First Edition STORYTELLER 6 x 6 paper pack

You will need card to stick to the back and some string or ribbon to decorate.

I then die cut an assortment of flowers and leaves in complementing colours to create a pretty display in the bottom right of all of my frames.

My very detailed Butterfly die is by Hobbybase remember to use the discount code MIXEDUP to receive 10% off at the checkout.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how you need to do the folding.

Here’s a close up of the flowers.

This detail really finishes off the frames nicely.

I hope you like this first tutorial of 2018 from me, remember you can make them in any sizes and have them arranged together on your walls.

A great day crafting

Sam
