Hi everyone here is my last project for my Valentine Series 2018

Acetate Exploding Gift Box

It seems today is a popular day for the explosion style gift box, I’ve seen 4 other YouTubers who I follow making other explosion style boxes as well.

Mine is using Acetate and give the box a completely different feel and look. These are very strong and perfect for so many other occasions.

To make these boxes you will need…

1 piece of acetate 8 x 8 for the main box. My Acetate is by Crafters Companion.

Score at 2.1/2 along each side.

1 piece of coloured card 5.1/8 x 5.1/8

Score at 1/2″, 1″, 4.1/8 & 4.5/8 on two of the sides.

8 pieces of 2.1/4 x 2.3/4 patterned paper for the decoration.

Dies and embellishments to decorate.

My papers are last years Dovecrafts XOXO paper pack however you can buy this years paper pack here.

As I mention in my tutorial I can’t remember where I got my nest of Heart dies from, I’m pretty sure they are by Xcut, if anyone has them please let me know.

Hope you enjoyed this Acetate gift box, its fun to play around with different materials sometimes and I really like the look acetate gives.

I love the Valentines themes however as I mentioned before and with most things I make these can be used for any occasion.
