Hi everyone, today I have this pretty Gate Fold card using the products from the February Hobbybase Kit.
This is a Gate Fold card with a twist as I’ve folded down the corners to give it a different look again!
The monthly kits are great as you get so much stuff every month, meaning you can make so many different things!
Here’s an unboxing video I did of the February box.
You always get 3 card bases and then all different papers, card, acetate, vellum…it’s always different.
To make the Gate Fold card you need…
12″ x 6″ card, score along the 12″ side at 3″ & 9″ if you have the kit this will already be done for you.
5.3/4 X 5.3/4 Patterned paper to mat the inside if you are heat embossing this piece as I do make sure you do all your heat embossing before you stick it onto your card.
2 pieces of 2.3/4 x 2.3/4 patterned paper for the front squares.
1 piece of 2.5/8 x 2.5/8 patterned paper for the triangles, this piece you need to cut in half on the diagonal.
As I mentioned all the papers, die, embossing powder, stamps and ribbon are all in the kit.
You can purchase the Birdcage die separately direct from Hobbybase.
I die cut this 3 dies, heat embossing the top one 3 times to create that great metal effect.

This is such a cute card and altho it’s a Valentines themed box this card would work well as a wedding or anniversary card.
