Hi everyone today I have my last project for this year’s Mothers Day Series 2018
Octagon Shaped Gift Bags
These unusual looking gift bags are very spacious and strong and will be great to use for Easter filled with eggs!
I made 3 sizes, one using 2 pieces of 12 x 12, one from 2 pieces of just under 8 x 8 and one from 2 pieces of 6 x 6 card.
All of my papers used are First Edition from Trimcraft.
To make these gift bags you will need…
For the largest size, you need 2 pieces of 12 x 12 strong paper or card.
Score along one side at 4″ & 8″ and another side at 4″ & 8″ you then need to put a pencil mark along one side at 6″ and then again on the opposite side to that.
Follow my tutorial below to see how you need to do some extra score lines and folding.
For the medium size gift bags, and if you have 8 x 8 papers you need 2 pieces of 7.1/2 x 7.1/2 so you need to cut them down slightly.
Score along one side at 2.1/2 & 5 and another side at 2.1/2 & 5 then again put a pencil mark along one side at 3.3/4 and then again on the opposite side to that.
For the smallest size, I made using 6 x 6 papers you need to score at 2″ & 4″ on one side and again the same on another and then put a pencil mark at 3″ on two opposite sides.
