MIXED UP CRAFT

Fun Technique Using Double-Sided Tape & Glitter

Hello everyone, its Wednesday which means another fun project using my Hobbybase Club monthly Kit and this time I have been using a fun technique with double-sided tape & glitter to produce fun backgrounds.

I mixed up my January & February kits for these cards and I’m really pleased with the results.

All you need is double-sided tape and glitter. I find the fine glitters work best and used the Hunkdory Ultra-Fine Glitter from the January kit. I also found the red double-sided tape gave better results due to it being very sticky.

I used my 6 x 6 card base which was in the kit and then cut a 5.3/4 x 5.3/4 mat to stick on top.

The Birdcage Die was in the February kit and the Dovecraft, Natures Grace stickers are from the January Kit

The designs are endless with this glitter technique, and if you don’t mind getting a little messy then this is a very fun process.

I played around a lot creating little clusters of interest and particularly like the birdcage die and contrasting colour of the ribbon and paper.

I found that as long as you covered the area well with glitter and brushed it all after that the glitter adheres very well and doesn’t fall off.
