MIXED UP CRAFT

Triple Twist Impossible Card

Hi everyone, can you believe it’s Monday already!

Today I have this cool Triple Twist Impossible Card.

From the huge success of my “Impossible Card” and after receiving so many wonderful messages and emails of your versions I decided to play around with the cutting lines some more and came up with this Triple Twist version, it’s so cool!

Triple Twist Impossible Card.

As a subscriber to Making Cards & Papercraft Magazine, I have been wanting to use these little bottle images, and this card was just perfect for them.

To make this card you will need…

1 piece of 7.1/2 x 5″ strong card I use 280gsm.

6 pieces of 2.1/4 x 1.1/4 pattern paper to decorate all your squares.

2 pieces of 1/2″ x 2.1/4 pattern paper for your two end sections.

8.1/2 x 5.1/2 card for your base (optional)

Make a pencil mark at 2.1/2″ on both short sides and then draw a line through the middle joining these up, as shown in my template below.

You need to then mark with a pencil along one of the long sides at 1.1/2, 3″, 4.1/2 & 6″ again like the template below.

Then join all the markers up to the centre line you previously made.

Rotate your card so the other long side is facing you and mark at 3/4″, 2.1/4, 3.3/4, 5.1/4 & 6.3/4, just as shown below again then draw a line joining these markers to the centre line.

You can then score over the middle line from the 3/4″ mark to the other 3/4″ mark.

Cut up all the “cut” lines as shown above.

Follow my full tutorial below for more detailed instructions.

As I mention in my tutorial the base card is optional, this style card has been cut into more times making it more floppy once twisted, however, once you add your mats, sentiment and the banner piece I put on the back it does strengthen it a lot so you may not need to use it. I do though think it gives it a good look and makes it stand out even more.
