Arrow Fold Card

Hello everyone, I’m really pleased with today’s project.

Check out these cool Arrow Fold cards.

Arrow Fold Wedding Cards

After last weeks Twisted Gate Fold cards I was playing around with score lines and came up with this design, and I love it.

I figured Arrow fold was a good name as the fold does resemble the point of an arrow quite well.

This is a 6 x 6 card base and with just 4 easy score lines you can transform this flat card into something very special.

To make these cards you will need…

One 6 x 6 card base, if you’re making this yourself you will need a piece of 12 x 6 cardstock and score along the 12″ side at 6″

Open up the card base and lay flat in the orientation of a top fold card, you want the front facing you with the middle score line running parallel.

With a pencil and a ruler, you need to mark at 2″ & 4″ on both sides of the front square and then at 3″ along the very bottom, then join up the middle 6″, 4″ & 2″ marks to the middle bottom 3 mark just as the template below shows.Sketch 100 (1).png

You need 1 piece of 5.5/8 x 5.1/2 pattern paper along the 5.1/2 side, with a pencil mark at 2.3/4, then with your pencil draw a line from the 2.3/4 mark to both opposite corners so you create a triangle, then cut along both those lines and this will give you the 3 pieces you need to decorate your card.

If you then want to mat on top of this again, as I do in the tutorial below, then you need a piece of 5″ x 5.3/8 and again mark along the 5″ side at 2.1/2 and with your pencil draw a line from the 2.1/2 mark to both opposite corners to create another triangle shape, cut again along these 2 lines to create your 3 pieces to mat on top.

All of my supplies are from this months April Hobbybase Club kit.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how its made.

These really do make stunning cards and although these are wedding cards they will work for many occasions.
