MIXED UP CRAFT

Pillow Box Gift Bags

Hi everyone, I was looking back at my older tutorials and was reminded of the pretty Pillow Boxes I made at Christmas, I had the idea of adding a handle onto them and turning them into gift bags and  I think they have turned out really nice.

Pillow Box Gift Bags, Any Size

These are so quick to make and in any size you want. They all fold flat too, which I love.

They can be made using any size square piece of cardstock. I have made them using 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 and below I have listed all the score lines you need to make even more sizes.

Once you decide what size you want to make from the list below, just watch my tutorial to understand where you need to make your curved side scorelines.

For the 12 x 12 size, I show in the tutorial below you need to score at 5.3.4 & 11.1/2.

For a 10 x 10 piece of cardstock, you need to score at 4.3/4 & 9.1/2.

For an 8 x 8 piece of cardstock, you need to score at 3.3/4 & 7.1/2.

For a 6 x 6 piece of cardstock, you need to score at 2.3/4 & 5.1/2.

For a 4 x 4 piece of cardstock, you need to score at 1.3/4 & 3.1/2.

You can see the pattern here with the score lines, so if there is another size that you want to make you should be able to work out where you need to score.

The oval tool I use in my tutorial to make the sides is the Xcut 7 piece Oval & Circle Tracks Shape Cutter System available on Amazon.  You can also get the 14 piece set with squares & rectangles, again available on Amazon.

The papers I used for the large butterfly bag are from the First Edition Wanderlust paper pack.

The Lobster print paper is from the Simply Creative Razzle Dazzle paper pack.  Craft Stash currently has a few different 12 x 12 packs on sale for 3.99…Bargain!

For the small gift bag, I used paper from the First Edition Paradise Crush pack.

The butterfly dies I used is from Hobbybase UK.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it and how to make your handles.

This Lobster print is so much fun!
