Pretty Handbag Treat Bags

Hello all, I’ve made these Pretty Handbag Treat Bags using the Papillon collection from Poundland.

Pretty Handbag Treat Bag

I have made something pink and girly for a while so these were nice to make.

These have a 4.1/4 x 1.1/2 base so a nice amount of room for a small gift or some yummy sweet treats.

The easy closure doesn’t need any magnets or velcro dots.

To make these you will need…

1 piece of 11″ x 8.1/4 cardstock.

Score along the 11″ side at 4.3/4 & 6.1/4 then score along the 8.1/4 side at 2″ & 6.1/4. Score again along the 11″ side at 4.3/8 & 6.5/8 just down to the first score line. Flip your card so the other 11″ side is at the top of your scoreboard and repeat the same score lines.

Next, along the 8.1/4 side mark the card with the end of your stylus at 2.3/4 & 5.1/2, flip your card and repeat these marks on the other 8.1/4 side.

Finally, along the 11″ side score at 5.1/2 down to the first score line, do this on the other 11″ side too.

2 pieces of pattern paper 4″ x 4.1/2

1 piece of 1.1/2 x 4″ cardstock for your flap closure. Score along the 4″ side at 1″

1 piece 1.1/4 x 2.3/4 card to mat on top.

1 piece of 1″ x 2.1/2 pattern paper to layer on top.

1 piece of 2.1/2 x 1/2″ strip of cardstock for your closure.

Ribbon for your handles and eyelets which are optional.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.

I love the pretty detail and metal work on this bag.
