Hi everyone, today’s tutorial kicks starts this year’s Valentines Series 2019
For the next 5-7 days, I will be sharing different Valentine themed projects that you can all make.
First up is this Heart Shaped Gift Bag.
I will be using the free downloadable papers from The Craft Blog. Click on the link below and under the “Freebies” tab you will find the papers to download.
I wanted to make a large heart-shaped gift bag to hold some treats. This measures approx 8.1/4 x 7.3/4.
Due to its larger size, I made a template online and I’ve attached it below for you to download if you wish. Otherwise, you may do your own on your digital cutting machines or you may have some large heart dies or even draw it yourself.

To make these gift bags you will need…
The template and the cardstock of your choice.
1 piece of 12″ x 3″ cardstock for the base of your gift bag. Score along the 12″ side at 6″ and the 3″ side at 1/2″ and 2.1/2″
Ribbon for your handles and embellishments to decorate the front.
I used white vinyl reinforcement ring stickers around my punched holes. These are available on Amazon along with the Reinforcement Stamp Machine I showed in my tutorial.

I fussy cut the “Love” from the free downloads and added the bow and butterflies from my stash.
You can easily expand the gift bag if you want to make it wider.
