MIXED UP CRAFT

Double Block Step Card

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing project number 5 of my Valentines Series 2019.

Double Block Step Card

How cool are these Double Block Step Cards?

I was inspired  by the smaller Single Block Step Card and then decided to “Double it!”

These are so fun to decorate and can work for many occasions.

Again, I used the free downloadable papers from The Craft Blog.

There is lots of room to write your message on the back, and they fold completely flat making them easy to post.

To make these you will need…

1 piece of 7.1/2 x 12″ cardstock, I used the Papermania, Capsule collection cardstock.

Score along the 12″ side at 1.1/2, 3″, 4.1/2, 6″, 7.1/2, 9″ & 10.1/2

Score along the 7.1/2 side at 1.1/2, 3″, 4.1/2 & 6″

Use the template below when cutting as I explain in the tutorial.

1 piece of 1″ x 7.1/2 cardstock for your hinge.

17 pieces of 1.1/4 x 1.1/4 mirrored cardstock to mat all of the squares.

17 pieces of 1″ x 1″ pattern paper to layer on all of the squares. I used the First Edition “Forever Free” papers for the one I make in the tutorial.

1 piece of 4.1/4 x 2.3/4 of white cardstock to stick on the back for you to write your message and stamp your greeting.

1 piece of 10.3/4 x 10.3/4 paper for your envelope. Using your envelope punch board, follow the directions for the 6″ x 7.1/2 card base size.

Embellishments, die-cuts & stamps to decorate. The 3D acetate butterflies I used are from The Range UK.
