Beautiful Woven Ribbon Gift Bags

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing these gift bags with woven ribbon detail down each side.

I always love making unusual gift bags and boxes and was really pleased with how nice these turned out.

These bags are perfect for showing off any nice double-sided papers you may have.

I used the First Edition Mariposa & Gardenia papers to make these, both you can find on my Amazon Store Front here.

             

I used ribbon on one gift bag and pretty white lace on the other, both look great but give two completely different looks.

To make these gift bags you will need…

2 pieces of 12″ x 12″ pattern paper or cardstock.

Score along the 12″  side with your pattern paper facing the right way up at 1.1/2, 3″, 9″ & 10.1/2. Rotate and score at 3″

4 pieces of 1.1/2 x 9″ pattern paper for your sides.

1 piece of 6″ x 9″ pattern paper for your closure.

Long ribbon to weave along both sides and to form your handle.

As always I show you many ways to change the bag, you don’t have to weave the ribbon down the sides, you can keep them plain and attach your handles to the top.

There is plenty of room in this gift bag with it measuring 10.1/2 x 10″.
