MIXED UP CRAFT

Gorgeous Shaker Gift Bags

Hello everyone, I swear I blink and it’s Monday again! the weeks seem to fly by way too fast.

To start off this week I have these really gorgeous Shaker Gift Bags.

Shaker Gift Bags

I used the beautiful ‘The Herbarium’ papers by Craft Consortium to make these.

You can purchase the bundle from Craft Stash here or the papers on their own here.

I needed to build up my gift bag supply again, and I love the fold flat style as they can be stored easily.

I’m always looking for quirky ways to decorate my gift bags and unusual ways to fasten them, and I think this one has both!

The little details on the edge of the ribbon, not only stop it fraying but also adds a really professional finish to the project.

To make these gift bags you will need…

2 pieces of 9.1/2 x 12″

Score 1 piece along the 9.1/2 side score at 6″ & 9″

Score along the 12″ side at 3″ then flip the card and score at 4.1/2 just to the second scoreline.

Flip the cardstock back over again and back so the 9.1/2 side is at the top. Score at 7.1/2 down to the first score line. This piece will be the front of the gift bag.

With the other piece score exactly the same as above, but this time the 4.1/2 scoreline needs to be scored all the way across the paper. This will allow the bag to be able to fold flat.

The 2 circle sizes I cut is 5.1/4 for the largest and 4.1/2 for the smallest.

I used the Xcut circle cutter, available from my Amazon Storefront here.

1 piece of 1.1/2 x 11″ for the handle.

Pattern paper for the frame around the window.

Acetate for the shaker window.

Sequins for the shaker.

I love how well these turned out, and really hope you give them a go.

Have a lovely week.

Happy crafting

Sam
