MIXED UP CRAFT

Chocolate Bar Style Gift Box

Hi everyone, today I have another Father’s Day inspired tutorial.

I’ve made this Chocolate Bar Style Gift Box and filled it with some sweet treats for my dad!

Chocolate Bar Style Gift Box

The inspiration for this one came from a card I saw on Pinterest, where the person had a brown card blank and covered it in small brown squares to look like a chocolate bar. It’s such an easy thing to do but looks really effective.

The box took no time at all to make, it was the decoration that I enjoyed doing the most.

The letter ‘T’ on each square is my dads initial and I thought it was a nice way to personalise the gift box.

I used the same Docrafts Papermania stamp set that I used on the Wash Bag & Bottle Caddy and It’s still available on eBay here.

To make these gift box you will need…

1 piece of 9.3/4 x 9.1/2.

Score along the 9.3/4 side at 3/4″, 4.5/8, 5.3/8 & 9.1/4

Score along the 9.1/2 side at 3/4″, 8.1/4 & 9″

18 pieces of 1″ x 1″ squares

Some fun foam to stick the squares and add dimension.

The small First Edition Alphabet dies I used are available from Create & Craft here or from The Range here.

The cardstock I used is from the Dovecraft Premium collection and available from The Range here, or from Amazon here.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.

As I mention in the video, I’m pretty sure you could fit another chocolate bar in the box, alternatively, you may like to make my Sliding Pop Box below and decorate it in the same way as today’s tutorial, as this style was made to fit a large bar of Cadbury’s chocolate.

Also, you can make lots of these and keep them stored flat, just don’t stick down the button until you need them.

Plain or decorated, I think these look great and would make great party favours.
