MIXED UP CRAFT

Retro Faceted Christmas Crackers

Every year I love to make different Christmas Crackers for my table and personalise them with the gifts inside. After finding this amazing Lametta card at the Creative Craft show I wanted to make a slightly different shape that suited the card’s retro design.

These have a faceted shape, so although they look square they actually have 8 sides!

Crackers are a British tradition dating as far back as the 1840s! They are pulled at each end and ripped open with a ‘Bang’, you commonly find inside a paper hat, bad joke, and a tacky gift! well, that’s how I remember it being as a child. Today I like to make my own jokes and fill them with a personalised gift.

If you would like to see my other cracker designs check out my playlist here.

I forgot to check my quantities of the sentiment toppers and wooden Santa, so I made a plea during the tutorial and 2 lovely ladies very kindly sent me some spares that they had, this meant I was able to finish the last 2 blues ones I had started!

These are easy to decorate and match to your own colour schemes and personalise however you like.
