For number 3 of my Mothers, Day Series 2017 is this pretty gift box.
My mum adores Tunnock’s Tea Cakes! For those of you who are not aware of these wonderful treats, they are milk chocolate domes filled with marshmallow with a biscuit base. They have been around since 1956 and kind of an institution here in the UK.
It gave me a great idea to make a gift box for these treats and gift them for mothers day.
I used my Xcut die topper, Shop
These are really beautiful detailed dies and set on acetate look just great.
To make this box you will need…
12 x 12 coloured card of your choice for the base
Score at
1.7/8, 3.3/4, 8.1/4, 10.1/8 on all 4 sides
7.5/8 x 7.5/8 coloured card of your choice for the lid
Score at
3/4, 1.1/2, 6.1/8, 6.7/8 on all 4 sides
Acetate 4.5/8 x 4.5/8
Double sided sticky sheet 4.5/8 x 4.5/8
2 pieces of card 4.3/8 x 4.1/4 for the inside.
