Hello everyone, I hope some of you are enjoying the start of a 4 day weekend and hopefully find some time to do some crafting.
Today I wanted to share this tall curved top gift box.
I made this smaller one last year and thought it would look great in a taller style.
I love the unusual way it closes and don’t worry its a lot easier then it looks.
To make this tall version you will need…
2 pieces of A4 card 8.1/4 x 11.5/8, you can also use letter paper which is 11″ it just means your box will be a little shorter.
Score along the 8.1/4 side at 4″ & 8″ then score along the longer side with the 1/4 tab at the top at 1″, then rotate your card back again so the 1″ tab is at the top and score at 1.1/2, 2.1/2, 5.1/2 & 6.1./2 all to the first score line only.
4 pieces of 3.3/4 x 9.5/8 pattern paper if you’re using the A4 card or 3.3/4 x 9″ if your using letter paper size.
My paper is by Simply Creative and purchased as a bundle from Create & Craft I used the Tropicana & Razzle Dazzle packs.
1 piece of 5.1/2 x 5.1/2 card for your base.
Score at 3/4″ on all 4 sides pulling the card slightly out each time before you score.
A standard mug with a diameter of approximately 3″
12″ of ribbon.
Check out my full tutorial below to see the other score lines you need to make and how I put it together.
I really like this design and with the striped paper the curved top really stands out.
I fussy cut the little Toucan from one of the sheets from the same pack.
Happy Crafting everyone and enjoy your Easter and time off with family and friends.
Sam
xoxo
