Double Dutch Fold Card

Hi everyone, today I have a card which has been a popular request!

These Double Dutch fold cards where lots of fun to make and very quick and easy.

I think the reason I liked making this one so much is that it’s got a Gatefold style about it, which I love.

I still have some of my Nature’s Grace papers by Dovecraft which worked perfectly with this style card.

These are 5″ x 7″ cards so they stand nice and tall and have lots of room inside for your message.

To make these you will need…

1piece of 10″ x 11″ cardstock.

Score along the 10″ side at 2.1/2 and 7.1/2

Score along the 11″ side at 7″ and then score at 3.1/2 just to the first score line, then flip your cardstock and score again at 3.1/2 just to the first score line.

1 piece of 4.3/4 x 6.3/4 cardstock for your large inside mat.

1 piece of 4.3/4 x 3.3/4 cardstock to mat the front flap of your card.

1 piece of 3.1/2 x 4.1/2 pattern paper to layer on top of your front flap.

2 or 4 pieces of 2.1/4 x 3.1/4 cardstock to mat your front gate flaps.

2 or 4 pieces of 2″ x 3″ pattern paper to layer on top of your front gate flaps.

The oval dies I used are by Tonic and still available from UK & US Amazon.

The papers I used are the Nature’s Grace collection by Dovecraft. These are available from The Range.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.

I love the pretty images on these papers, they match perfectly with my plastic real-life butterflies, you can find many different designs on Amazon.

I hope you enjoy today’s fun fold card and give it go, remember to share any of your makes over on my Mixed Up Crafters Facebook group.

Happy crafting.

Sam
