Hi everyone, I had a panic the other day, as I thought I had lost one of my rings!
I many dotted around my craft room which isn’t ideal so I decided to make this pretty Trinket Box.
It’s a simple construction, however, it’s all the details that make it something special.
This is a 4.1/4 x 1.1/2 inside box, so just perfect to hold a selection of my rings.
I loved decorating the lid, I used my Prima flowers mixed with some leaves I purchased from Ikea. Underneath is a die cut doily and the papers used are the First Edition “Floral Fusion” collection by Trimcraft.
These are still available from Hobbycraft and Amazon
1 piece of 8.1/4 x 8.1/4 cardstock.
Score along each side at 1/2″ & 2″
1 piece of 6.1.4 x 4.3/4 You need to score along the longest side, but it’s best to watch my tutorial below for better explanation.
1 piece of 4.5/8 x 4.1/2 cream card to mat the lid.
1 piece of 4.3./8 x 4.1/4 pattern paper to layer on top.
4 pieces of 1.3/8 x 4.1/8 pattern paper to decorate the sides.
1 piece of 4.1/8 x 4.1/8 pattern paper to decorate the inside base of you’re box.
1 piece of 4.5/8 x 4.1/2 pattern paper to decorate the inside lid.
1 piece of 4.3/8 x 4.1/4 cream card to layer on top.
Some ribbon or chain to hold the lid up.
I used some metal decorative feet I had in my stash. I’ve found similar on eBay.
Flowers or die cuts to decorate the top.
Check out my full tutorial below.
It’s fairly roomy and can hold a lot of jewellery as you can see below.
I’ve shared my other 2 trinket/keepsake boxes below for you to check out.
I just love all the detail on this box and love looking at it on my shelf.
Thank you for stopping by.
Happy crafting.
Sam
