Beautiful Daffodil Easel Card

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing this bright and beautiful Daffodil Easel card.

These cards were a joy to make and I thought the Easel card style showed off the flowers perfectly.

Daffodils are my favourite flower so I was excited to see this beautiful Altenew Daffodil die free with issue 188 of Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine.

I find larger Daffodil dies and stamps so rare to find, so I snapped this up as soon as I could.

Along with the die set, you can download some beautiful papers which have some printed Daffodils for you to fussy cut, so if you can’t get the magazine, I recommend downloading the papers so you can still make similar cards.

Download your papers here.

These cards are 6″ x 6″ and fold completely flat making them perfect for posting.

To make these cards you will need…

1 blank 6″ x 6″ card base or a piece of 12″ x 6″ cardstock and score along the 12″ side at 6″ and fold in half.

You need to open up your card and score again along the 12″ side at 3″, fold this and it will give you your easel fold.

1 piece of 5.3/4 x 5.3/4 pattern paper to decorate the inside base.

2 pieces of 2.3/4 x 5.3/4 pattern paper to decorate both sides of the easel fold.

Oval, circle or square dies to decorate the front and stick your flowers on. I used my Tonic Studio. These are still available from Amazon.

You will need to stamp your sentiment or image for your stopper making sure you stick it down with foam adhesive so that it becomes a raised platform for the easel fold to lean against.

Ribbon and embellishments to decorate.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.

Just look at that wonderful detail you get from the die.

I plan on using this die a lot more so, watch this space!

Happy crafting everyone and have a wonderful weekend.

Sam
