Stepper Box Card

Hi everyone today kick starts this years Mothers Day Series 2019

The first project is these Stepper Box Cards.

These are easy to make and make great gifts or mini storage boxes.

Those of you who have followed me for a while and seen my previous Mothers Day Series will see that I always do a project featuring Tunnocks Tea Cakes as both my mother and I love them!

This Stepper Box fits 4 of them making this a lovely sweet gift that wraps up into a nice looking box.

To decorate these I used the free Altenew Daffodil die from issue 188 of Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine.

I also used the free downloadable papers available from the same magazine.

You can buy the magazine here from CraftStash.

To make these boxes you will need…

1 piece of 11.1/4 x 6.1/8 cardstock for your main case.

Score along the long side at 2.1/4, 4.1/2, 6.3/4 & 9″

1 piece of 6.1/4 x 6.1/4 cardstock for the lid.

First, pull the cardstock out slightly from the side of the scoreboard and score at 1″ & 2″ then push the cardstock back into place and score at  4.1/4 & 5.1/4, rotate cardstock and repeat. By doing this it will make the lid slightly larger allowing a nice snug fit.

4 pieces of 5.1/8 x 5.1/8 cardstock for the boxes

Score at 1.1/2 on all 4 sides.

9 pieces of 2″ x 1.3/8 pattern cardstock to mat all of the boxes.

1 piece of 2.1/8 x 2.1/8 pattern cardstock to mat the top of the lid.

4 pieces of 2.1/8 x 3/4 pattern cardstock to mat the sides of the lid.

10 pieces of 2″ x 5.7/8 pattern cardstock to mat both sides of the case. I cut 5 in 2  different patterns.

Stamps & dies to decorate.

The Daffodils work so nicely for this Mothers Day project.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s tutorial and the first project for this years Mothers Day Series.
