Very Large Tote Gift Bag

Hi everyone, I’m back with my 3rd project for this years Mothers Day Series 2019.

Check out these huge Tote Gift Bags.

I love making large gift bags and these were no exception.

You can hang this bag over your shoulders due to the longer handles.

The papers I chose were purchased recently from The Works but unfortunately, my mum used the cover pages from the paper packs so I’m unable to tell you the names of them, however, I have found this one on their website which is very similar.

The Works Online Shop.

I love all the little details, like the corners and the hanging mini purse or gift tag.

To make these you will need…

2 pieces of 12″ x 12″ pattern paper.

1 piece of 9″ x 6″ cardstock for your base.

Score on each side at 1″

4 strips of 1.1/2 x 12″ pattern paper for the handles.

1 piece of 6″ x 5″ pattern paper for the flap closure.

Score along the 5″ side at 1″

1 piece of 6″ x 4.1/2 pattern paper for the mini pocket.

Score along the 4.1/2 side at 1/2″ & 4″

Score along the 6″ side at 3″

1 piece of 1.3/4 x 3.1/2 pattern paper for the flap closure for the mini pocket.

Score along the 1.3/4 side at 1/2″

4 die cut 3″ diameter circles for the corners of the bag.

Velcro dots to close the gift bag.

Ribbon & embellishments to decorate.

Check out my full tutorial below.

The big bow finishes these bags off perfectly.

I hope you enjoy making this gift bag and if your new to my blog or YouTube channel and would like to share the projects you make, inspired by my tutorials then please come over and join the Mixed Up Crafters Facebook group. I would love to see your versions.

Happy crafting

Sam
