Hello everyone, today I have these fold flat gift bags made using 8″ x 8″ papers.
This tutorial has been requested by a few people and is a great way to use up some of those 8″ x 8″ paper pads.
I went a little crazy and made 10 of these gift bags, this will make a great item to sell at a craft fair, donate for a raffle or gift as a gift, it’s also great to just fill up your own stash!
These beautiful papers are the Christmas Tale collection by The Paper Tree.
This is available from Craft Stash here.
The screw punch I used is by Xcut, there are a few brands on the market, here are a few here.
To make these you will need…
2 pieces of 8″ x 8″ pattern paper.
Score one piece at 1.1/2 & 7.1.8
Score the other piece at just 7.1/8
2 pieces of 4″ x 8″ for the sides of the bag.
Score both pieces along the 8″ side 1″ & 2.1/2
Score along the other side at 1/2″ & 3.1/2 and then at 2″ down to the first scoreline.
1 piece of 4″ x 8″ for the base.
Score along the 4″ side at 1/2″ & 3.1/2
My ribbon was 10.1/2 long, you will need 2 pieces.
Check out my full tutorial below.
I love the thick ribbon handles!
Thank you for stopping by.
Happy crafting.
