Hi everyone, today the 4th edition of The Social Papercrafter Magazine is out and full of Christmas ideas and inspiration.
I have a few features within the issue starting with these lovely reinforced Christmas gift boxes for my “Pinterest Made” article.
The idea is you find a project you like and “CASE” it, meaning “Copy And Share Everything”
I found this gift box by “Fold A Box” and loved it, the big bow fastening was what caught my eye.
I decided to copy the pink slimmer one and think It turned out pretty good.
I used the First Edition “Happy Holidays” papers which I’m loving at the moment.
For the huge sentiment on the top, I used my Woodware “Big Christmas Words” stamps set.
These are a great size and perfect for wrapping some nice gloves, a scarf, necklace etc.
To make these you will need…
1 piece of 12″ x 12″ cardstock for the main box. Score at 1.1/2 & 3″ on all 4 sides
1 piece of 9.1/8 x 6.1/2 cardstock for the base flap. Score at 1.5/8 & 7.5/8 along the longest side, pulling the card out slightly before you do so, revert to my tutorial below for more detail on this bit.
1 piece of 8.5/8 x 6.1/2 card stock for your top lid. Score along the longest side at 1.5/8 & 7.5/8 in the same way as mentioned above.
1 piece of 5.3/4 x 5.3/4 pattern paper to decorate the inside base of the box.
1 piece of 6.1/4 x 5.3/4 white card to decorate the top of your lid.
1 piece of 6″ x 5.1/.2 pattern paper to layer on top of your lid.
1 piece of 3/4 x 6.1/4 cardstock to conceal your ribbon on your lid.
The ribbon I used was from The Range UK, one of their 12m rolls for only a pound!!!
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
I really do think the bows really complete these boxes and make them look very luxurious and expensive.
I can’t wait to fill them now and put them under my tree.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy reading this months issue of The Social Papercrafter Magazine.
