Hello friends, today’s tutorial kick starts my
Christmas Workshop 2019!
This is the 3rd year I have done this, basically, it means that every tutorial from now, up to Christmas will be Christmas themed. I can’t believe how quickly this has come round again. I have lots of great tutorials to share with you all and I hope you all enjoy them.
To kick start this years Christmas Workshop I have made these awesome
Padded Christmas Cards
I was inspired by the ones I have that my Grandad gave my Nan, they are beautiful and so lovely to touch and look at.
I’ve been thinking of the best and cheapest fabric to use for these and then when I was shopping I found some cheap tablecloths!
I picked up this one and a red one from Buyoligy, the red one wasn’t so good but this one has a slight fleecy feel to the underside and seems stronger than the others.
These are huge tablecloths and I have enough to make so many cards…what a bargain!
For the padding, I used some wadding, however it was meant for a cooker filter but it’s the same stuff and for £1 it was another bargain.
You will also need some strong board, the backing on your paper pads or chipboard will be perfect.
The Poinsettia flower die I used is by Simple Made Crafts and available here.
Check out my quick tutorial below to see how I made them.
The ‘Merry Christmas’ & ‘Happy Christmas’ sentiment toppers are by Simply Creative. but I got them last year.
I am so pleased with how these turned out and it is definitely something I will be doing again.
Thank you for popping by today, I hope you like my padded cards and give them a go.
Happy crafting
Sam
xoxo
