Hello friends, so sorry for the delay in posting this week, I went away for a long weekend, and although my videos were all scheduled I hadn’t got the blog posts prepared, so I have been catching up on everything this week.
On Monday I kick-started my Valentines Series 2020, I thought this was my 3rd series but it’s actually my 4th…where are the years going!!!
I shared this wonderful Card & Gift Box in 1 and so many of you have been sharing your versions already, like most of my projects this can be made for many occasions, not just for Valentine’s.
Unfortunately, I have limited photos of this project as all of the photos I took before I gave these to friends were corrupt and I lost them all, so my friends sent some photos which I’ve managed to edit a little and I took a couple of how I displayed them on each of their beds.
These perfectly hold a mini bottle of wine or a nice bottle of perfume or other gifts.
SUPPLIES USED TO MAKE THESE
The large heart die from Card Making Magic available here.
The smaller geometric Bright Rosa heart die available here.

Dovecraft sentiment stamp used inside the card, available here.
MEASUREMENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THESE
1 piece of 12″ x 7.5 card for the card base.
Score along the 12″ side at 5″
1 piece of 11.1/2 x 8.1/2 card for the box.
Score along the 11.1/2 side at 2″ & 9.1/2
Score along the 8.1/2 side at 2″, 4″, 6″ & 8″
1 piece of mirror 4.3/4 x 7.1/4 card to mat the front of the card
1 piece of 4.1/2 x 7″ card to layer on the front. I chose to decorate mine using the Herringbone technique, which is a great way to use up any scraps, check out my video below, showing you how I do that.
3 pieces of 1.3/4 x 7.1/4 mirror card to mat 3 sides of the box.
3 pieces of 1.1/2 x 7″ pattern paper to layer over the 3 sides of the box.
1 piece of 1.3/4 x 1.3/4 mirror card for the top.
1 piece of 1.1/2 x 1.1/2 pattern card to layer on top.
Twine to fasten the lid.
Decorative embellishments for the fastening.
