I recently posted up my Hexagon box and spoke about how I’m trying to make different shaped boxes that aren’t squares or rectangles. Now I know this has a square base but the top is pretty cool and certainly not square shaped!
I love making fun, odd-looking boxes and think these fit that description perfectly.
I used my fun ‘Tropical Vibes’ DSP from The Range and my Stampin Up ‘Cherry on Top’ DSP. Both very colourful, fun prints.
Perfect-scoring is a must for these boxes to get nice Sharpe points and a clean finish.
To make these boxes you will need…
11.5/8 x 8.1/4 coloured card.
Score along 8.1/4 side at 2.3/4 & 5.1/2
Score along 11.5/8 side at 2.3/4, 5.1/2, 8.1/4 & 11
You then need to notch along 11.5/8 side at 1.3/8, 4.1/8, 6.7/8 & 9.5/8
x 4 pieces of printed DSP 2.1/2 x 2.1/2
Ribbon to fasten.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
Happy crafting
