Today I’m sharing this weeks Hobbybase card.
Butterfly Gatefold card.
I do love making Gatefold cards, it’s such a simple design yet so effective.
Lots of space to write your message & stamp your sentiment.
To make this card you will need…
1 piece of 10″ x 7″ card, scoring along the 10″ side at 2.1/2 & 7.1/2 then burnish the score lines and this will give you, your Gatefold shape. This will become a 5″ x 7″ size card base.
For your mat and layers, you will need…
1 piece of 4.3/4 x 6.3/4 to mat the large inside area.
1 piece of 4.3/4 x 3″ for your sentiment.
2 pieces of 2.1/4 x 6.3/4 to mat the front and 2 pieces of 2″ x 6.1/2 to layer on top.
2 pieces of 2.1/4 x 6.3/4 to mat on the inside, sides.
I use the Hobbybase Butterfly die.
The papers used are the Wanderlust collection by First Edition.
My Happy Birthday sentiment is from Dovecraft.
Check out my full tutorial below, showing you how I made it.
I always rave about this Butterfly die, it just always looks fab whenever I use it.
Hope you like this weeks Hobbybase card and I’ve inspired you to go and make one.
Enjoy your day.
