Hobbybase Live Craft Along

Floating Slide & Stand Card

Hi everyone had a crazy couple of days and this tutorial wasn’t supposed to go up until tomorrow…oh well!

Here are my gorgeous Floating Slide & Stand Cards.

Floating Slide & Stand Cards

Today’s project is this week’s Hobbybase card which I usually just share on Facebook, however, I thought they were so good I decided to share my tutorial on YouTube as well.

This Slide & Stand style is very popular and I have made them before but this time I added Acetate to create the look of everything floating. I think they turned out great using the Hobbybase

This is a real show stopper and will certainly grab people’s attention, it also folds completely flat making it easy to post.

To make these you will need…

1 piece of 11″ x 6″ cardstock for the card.

Score along the 11″ side at 1″, 2.3/4, 3.3/4, 5.1/2, 7.1/4, 8.1/4 & 10″

1 sheet of 3.7/8 x 6″ strong acetate

2 strips of 5.3/4 x 1.1/2 pattern paper to decorate.

2 strips of 5.3/4 x 3/4″ pattern paper to decorate.

For the envelope you need a sheet of 10.3/4 x 10.3/4 paper, using the envelope punch board scoring at 4.7/8

The papers used are from the First Edition Paradise Crush paper pad available from Hobbybase.

The Sentiment stamp is from Dovecraft.

My favourite Butterfly die is also from Hobbybase.

Check out my full tutorial below showing how I made them.

I hope you enjoy this project and I already been receiving some great photos of your versions.
