If you missed Issue 1 or haven’t heard about The Social Papercrafter you can check it out here., it’s a great interactive magazine featuring a variety of papercrafts from 7 other talented artists.

In this issue, I feature 2 fun projects, the Easy Squash Box in 5 minutes & The Retiform Technique, both I have done before but in different sizes and patterns and I will share those tutorials further down.

The Squash Box

Easy Squash Box

Easy Squash Box

To make the Squash Box you will need…

1 sheet of 8 x 8 paper scoring along one side depending on the direction of your paper at 1.7/8, 3.3/4, 5.5/8 & 7.1/2

2 pieces of 12″ ribbon and a topper to decorate. I used the new Dovecraft Sweet Moments 8 x 8 papers and topper pack both available from The Range UK.

Check out my full tutorial here.

The Retiform Technique

The word Retiform means the crossing of lines. This is a really fun technique and I’ve used it a lot on different cards.

To make these cards I used…

A selection of inks, I used the Stampin Up 2017-19 in colours and the Stampin Up Tropical Chic stamps. You can shop both via Create with Cayleigh.

You will need post-it notes or washi and some blending tools to create the different sections.

Check out my full tutorial here.

Below are my other videos of the bigger Squash Box & Retiform Technique.

Hope you enjoy reading Issue 2, we will be back again in September with Issue 3.

Happy crafting

Sam

  1. I love all the projects you make and I have lots of them on my list of ones to try and if I can remember to take the pictures I have made several to post on my blog. Your projects are usually very easy to do which is what I am all about. lol. Thank you for your inspiration.
