Hello everyone, hope your all enjoying your weekend.
I have decided to start sharing my Scrapbook layouts, this is something I have been doing for many many years since I was a little girl.
My sister and I used to enjoy scrapbooking our summer holidays and collecting tickets, postcards, anything we could stick in our books really.
Every Sunday I will share a different layout and story which I hope you enjoy.
First up and quite fitting is this pretty layout of me and my baby sister Tracie.
These layouts are smaller than the normal 12 x 12 as I’m currently filling a 10 x 10 album, so these are cut down to 9.1/4 x 9.1/2 to give a nice border and to allow room for the binder clips.
I guess I do have a style when it comes to my scrapbooking. I like full pages with lots of dimension, colour and texture which you will see over the coming weeks.
The gorgeous papers I used for this layout are from the July issue of Making Cards Magazine which I subscribe to. It’s a great magazine with awesome free papers every month.
You can buy back copies and digital issues here.
Whenever I start with a layout I choose my colour first and then from there I will pull all of the things that will match and have it all around my desk, then I will start to play around and lay bits out onto the page until I’ve decided where I want everything to go.
I always finish off my layouts with some kind of embellishments and/or sequins.
I hope you enjoy my layouts and feel inspired by them.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Sam
