This weeks fun fold card is this bright and fun Rocker card with matching envelope.
These are so easy to make and in any size you want.
I used the “Beach Life” papers and matching embellishments by Trimcraft available from Hobbycraft UK I made the Rosettes myself and finished it off with Nuvo drops and sequins.
To make the Rosettes I cut one strip of 1″ x 12″ and scored along the 12″ side at every 1/4″ and for the smaller Rosette I cut a strip of 1/2″ x 12″ again scoring along the 12″ side at every 1/4″. Check out my tutorial below to see how I make rosettes.
To make the card you will need…
An 8″ diameter white circle for your card base, I use 300gsm cardstock. To cut mine I use the Xcut Circle Cutter. Available from The Range however a compass will work set at 4″ or even a dinner plate. The base card can be any size you want.
I then cut another 6″ and 4.1/2″ diameter white circles and then a 7.1/2, 5.1/2 & 4″ circles in a patterned and coloured paper. If you’re using a strong cardstock your card will stand up alone, if it’s a lighter weight then you may need to add in a stopper. Check out my other Rocker Card tutorial below to see how you can add the stopper.
You will need a sentiment and embellishments to decorate, as I mentioned earlier I used matching “Beach Life” stickers and made the rosettes. The stamp I used is the large Dove craft “Happy Birthday” stamp available from Amazon.
For your envelope, you will need a piece of 12 x 12 paper, for my full tutorial below to see how I made it all.
I hope you give these cards a go and please share them on my Facebook page Mixed Up Craft.
Enjoy

Ahh it’s called a “Baby Blue” by Tattered Lace, however its over 3 years old now and they don’t make them anymore but some shops still sell them online, try Amazon & eBay. 🙂
