Hey everyone, the other day I was playing around with my Xcut Circle Cutting System and made, what I’m calling a Disc Gatefold Card.
I really like how this one turned out, it wasn’t hard to make but you do need to make sure you take your time when cutting and lining up your circles in the middle.
I used the super cute Dovecraft “Sweet Moments” Decoupage pack and matching papers.
I love the cute images in this collection and the soft pastel colours.
The Macaron one below is my favourite!
To make these cards you will need…
1 piece of 11″ x 6.1/2, score along the 11″ side at 2.3/4 and 8.1/4 and then along the 6.1/2 side mark a pencil line at 6″
4 pieces of 2.1/2 x 5.3/4 white card for your mats.
4 pieces of 2.1/4 x 5.1/2 pattern paper to layer on top of your mats.
2 circles measuring 5.1/2 for your front and inside of your card. For these, you need to set your compass to 2.3/4, for these circles I use my Xcut Circle Cutter available from Amazon UK.
1 4.1/2 circle for your inside message.
A 6″ diameter plate or circular object, you can also use a compass. I used the largest circle from my Xcut Cutting System, available from Every Crafts A Pound they are currently on sale.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
I like that you can have this displayed in a few different ways, each one gives the card a different look.
You have plenty of room on the inside to write your message.
Hope you enjoy this new fold card from me today and give it a go.
Happy crafting.
