Hey everyone, this weeks fun fold card is this Pop Up Book Fold Card.
I love making pop up style cards and I think this one really stands out.
It’s a 6 x 6 card size and I decorated the front of this one using a large gift tag die and some leaf and flower die cuts.
For the inside, I embossed some plain cardstock and decorate the main “Book Fold” with more leaf and flower die cuts and some of my favourite acetate butterflies.
I used this First Edition “Botanical” paper pack for the card above and the First Edition ” Let’s Celebrate” papers for the card below.
To make these cards you will need…
1 piece of 12″ x 6″ coloured cardstock. Score along the 12″ side at 6″ and fold in half to give you your 6 x 6 card base.
1 piece of 11.3/4 x 5.3/4 white card for your inside pop up mechanism.
Score along the 11.3/4 side at 3″, 5.7/8 and 8.3/4
Score along the 5.3/4 side at 1.1/4 & 4.1/2
1 piece of 5.3/4 x 5.3/4 cardstock to mat the front of your card.
1 piece of 5.3/4 x 5.3/4 plain white paper (optional) to stick on the back of your card for your sentiment.
2 pieces of 2.1/2 x 2.7/8 coloured card to mat your book fold middle section of your card.
4 pieces of 1.1/8 x 3″ pattern paper to mat on your inside rectangles.
8 pieces of 7/8″ x 2.5/8 to mat on the remaining inside rectangles.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
I love the “Let’s Celebrate” papers and enjoyed fussy cutting the cute birthday Panda’s
I used the same Panda to decorate the front along with the large “Dovecraft” Happy Birthday stamp, ribbon and “English Mustard” “Party Pink” & “Double Denim” Nuvo Drops.
These are such fun cards and great to make.
I hope you give it a go.
Happy crafting.
Sam
