Hey everyone, today I have another unusual gift bag for you all.
These Multi-Loop Gift Bags are another take on my Faux Wooden Handle Hobo Gift Bags I made earlier in the year.
I love how much the faux wood effect sticks change the look of these bags.
They use 2 pieces of 12″ x 12″ cardstock and fold completely flat for easy storage.
They have a vintage oriental look about them, and I’ve been trying to find the style I mean, I will update this post when I do. 🙂
To make these you will need…
2 pieces of 12″ x 12″ pattern paper. I used the “Let’s Celebrate” First Edition papers available from The Range.
Score along 12″ side with your pattern facing the right way up at 3″ & 11.1/2 then rotate your cardstock with the 3″ score line towards the top and score at 3″, 9″ & 10.1/2 then score at 4.1/2 just down to the 3″ score line on one piece and all the way down on the other. This scoreline will allow you to fold the bag flat. Rotate back into the original orientation and score at 1.1/2 down to the second score line, then score at 4″, 4.1/2, 5″, 5.1/2, 9″, 9.1/2, 10″ & 10.1/2 just to the first score line.
2 pieces of 8.1/4 x 1″ for your sticks.
1 piece of 2.1/2 x 3″ coloured paper for your fastening.
2 pieces of 1/2″ x 12″, 11″ or a4 length, it’s entirely up to you.
Heres a template for you to see where all your scorelines should be.
Check out my full tutorial below along with my Tassel tutorial if you choose to add them.
These bags measure 3″ x 8.1/2 so a good size.
The tassel detail finishes them off lovely.
Happy crafting everyone.
