Hi everyone, over the weekend I made these pretty Joy Fold cards.
I saw this fold on YouTube by For Love Of Paper it was from 8 years ago so I imagine this fold has been around for a while.
I changed it up a little and added my touch to them and think they turned out really well.
This card is basically a Z Fold card with another card attached in the opposite direction, really simple but effective.
I used the very cute Dovecraft “Sweet Moments” collection and matching decoupage kit you can find the paper pack at Hobbycraft and the Decoupage kit from Craft Stash
I love the sweet treat theme running through this collection and the detail in the decoupage kit is lovely.
To make these cards you will need…
1 piece of 6″ x 12″ cardstock or 6″ x 9″ cardstock depending on what style you want to make.
Score along the longest side on either length at 6″, if you’re using the 12″ length next you will need to flip the cardstock and score at 9″
1 piece of 9.1/2 x 4.1.4 for your smaller card inside.
Score along the long side at 4.3/4
1 piece of 5.3/4 x 5.3/4 white card to mat the inside of the card.
1 piece of 5.1/2 x 5.1/2 pattern paper to layer on top.
2 pieces of 2.3/4 x 5.3/4 white card to mat your side flaps.
2 pieces of 2.1/2 x 5.1/2 pattern paper to layer on top.
2 pieces of 4.1/2 x 4″ white card for the front and inside of the smaller card.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
The decoupage kits make cards like these really easy to make and perfectly match up.
I hope you enjoy these cards and give them a go.
Have a great week.

Sam, this is such a beautiful card. You just amaze me. And your projects are not difficult. You are a talented crafter and instructor! Hope your new venture is going well! Now off to find a teapot and cups!
I love fancy fold cards and yours are always so easy yet so impressive! Thanks, again!
These are awesome Sam, beautiful xx
I love your fun fold cards! I’ve seen folds here I’ve never seen anywhere else.
I love this version of the joy fold card! I”ve made joy fold cards before that didn’t have the z-fold feature, and they wouldn’t stand up — the z fold solves that problem. Yay!
Very clever makes – love the images and dersign
Nice and bright and cheerful. I love it.
