Fun Block Step Card

Hi everyone, my last project for this year’s Valentine Series 2019 is these fun Block Step cards.

Block Step Cards

A smaller version of yesterdays Double Block Fold card, these cards are super cute!

The inspiration for this card came from Papercrafter45 on YouTube.

I love that these cards will suit many different occasions and are perfect for all ages to enjoy.

For the Valentines one, I used the free downloadable papers from The Craft Blog.

Free Valentine Paper Downloads

For the Birthday themed one I made I used the First Edition Forever Free paper pack. This paper pack is available from Amazon.

The butterflies I used are from The Range, however, I’ve found a larger quantity of them on Amazon.

Butterfly Stickers

The silver Dovecraft mirrored cardstock is also available from Amazon.

The back of the cards have plenty of room to stamp and write your message.

They also fold completely flat and fit into an envelope which I made on the We R Memory Keepers Punch Board available from Amazon.

To make these you will need…

1 piece of 4.1/2 x 12″ cardstock.

Score along the 12″ side at 1.1/2, 3″, 4.1/2, 6″, 7.1/2, 9″ & 10.1/2

Score along the 4.1/2″ side at 1.1/2 & 3″

Use my template, along with my tutorial below for the cutting direction.

11 pieces of 1.1/4 x 1.1/4 white cardstock for your squares.

11 pieces of 1″ x 1″ pattern paper to decorate your squares.

1 piece of 2.3/4 x 2.3/4 white card to stick on the back to write your message.

1 piece of 8.1/2 x 8.1/2 pattern paper for the envelope. I followed the 4.1/2 x 6″ card base size on my envelope punch board. The Grace Taylor “Boheme” paper pack I shared has unfortunately sold out everywhere.

Flower dies, embellishments and sentiment to decorate your card.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.

I love that you can decorate so many sides of this card.

Which is your favourite?

I think I’m swayed to the birthday one more, but I think that’s because I love the bright colours!

I hope you have enjoyed this year’s Valentines Series 2019, I have been enjoying your versions of my makes on Facebook, I always love to see who is going to be the first one to share what they have made!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Happy crafting.
