Hi everyone today I’m sharing project number 2 for this years Mothers Day Series 2019.
How sweet are these pretty Handbag Cards?
These are so easy to make and will definitely stand out from the other cards.
When opened you have an area to stamp and write your message and on the other side, you can attach a gift card or small gift.
These fold completely flat and will fit into a 5″ x 7″ envelope.
To make these cards you will need…
1 piece of 5″ x 12″ coloured cardstock.
Score along the 12″ side at 5″ & 7″ then flip over the cardstock and again along the 12″ side score at 6″.
3 pieces of 4.3/4 x 4.3/4 pattern paper to decorate the front and insides.
1 piece of 5″ x 2.1/2 cardstock for your flap closure.
Score along the side at 2.1/2 side at 2″
1 piece of 4.3/4 x 1.3/4 pattern paper to mat your flap closure.
Circle or oval dies to make your handle. The ones I used are from Tonic Studios and available Amazon here.
Velcro dot for your closure.
Ribbon, stamps and dies to decorate.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
The papers I used where from the Mariposa & Gardenia paper packs by First Edition.
Both paper packs are available on my Amazon Storefront here.
I think this card would make a perfect party invitation and will work for so many occasions.
Which one is your favourite, purple or orange?
I will be making these again for Christmas and already have some great ideas.
Lots of pretty detail perfect for Mothers Day.
I hope you enjoy today’s card tutorial and give it a go.
Happy crafting
Sam
