Hi everyone, I promised last week that I would make some gifts bags and today I’m sharing the first of a few I’ve designed lately.
I’m In love with everything about this bag, from the beautiful papers to the silver buckle on the front.
The papers are from the Blooming Flowers paper pack from The Works and available here.
The silver buckle I used is also from The Works but not available online.
The pretty embellishments are brads from Poundland.
The box measures 2.1/2 x 7″ x 6″ so there is plenty of room for lots of goodies.
To make this gift bag you will need…
2 pieces of 12″ x 12″ pattern paper, a non-directional pattern is better.
Score one piece at 2.1/2 & 9.1/2 then rotate and score at 2.1/2, 8.1/2 & 11″ this will become the front of the box.
Score the other 12″ x 12″ piece at 2.1/2 & 9.1/2, rotate and score at 2.1/2 x 8.1/2 this will be the back of the box.
1 piece of 4″ x 7″ pattern paper for the closure. Score along the 4″ side at 2″
2 pieces of 1″ x 6″ pattern paper to decorate the front.
1 piece of 1.1/2 x 5″ pattern paper for the closure and to hold the buckle.
1 piece of 1″ x 12″ or A4 length for your handle. Score at 1″ & 11″ along the 12″ side.
I used 16mm white velcro dots to fasten the gift bag.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
I love these so much that I’m keeping one to display in my craft room!
I hope you have enjoyed today’s tutorials.
Happy crafting
