Hi everyone, today I’m sharing this Pyramid Fold Card which has evolved from some pre-made triangular cards I purchased from a charity shop.
This is such a simple shape, yet it manages to create such an eye-catching effect.
The card folds flat and fits into a 6″ x 6″ envelope and you have plenty of room to stamp and write your message inside.
The papers I used are from an old First Edition paper pack called Botanical Notes which I found in WHSmith, however, I’ve found a seller on eBay selling the 6″ x 6″ pads here.
I wanted to cover mine in butterflies, so I fussy cut these pretty ones from one of the pages.
To make this card you will need…
2 pieces of 12″ x 6″ card scored along the 12″ side at 6″ to form your card blank or 2 pre-made 6″ x 6″ card blanks.
6 pieces of 5.1/2 x 4.7/8 mirrored card to mat all 6 six sides of the card.
6 pieces of 5.1/4 x 4.5/8 pattern paper to layer over the mats, one of these will be white so you have an area to stamp and write your message.
Embellishments to decorate.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
Make sure that the side you fold in first doesn’t have any decoration hanging over the left-hand side as this will catch and fold when you close the card.
I think not only is this a lovely card but also a pretty decoration.
Thank you for stopping by today.
