Hi everyone, today I have this fun storage box in the theme of a Craft Shed!
I’ve already expressed my love for the Dovecraft ‘Secret Garden’ collection and wanted to create something with it that I can keep forever…or at least a very long time.
Made from chipboard, this is a very strong box with lots of room.
My absolute favourite part of this and the inspiration behind it, are the cute little wooden fences!
You can shop the collection here.
How cute are the dinky trowl & fork!
The Wellington boots reminded me of my own patent ones, so I die cut a red pair and covered them in Glossy Accents.
I love the bunting, but can’t decide whether to keep the ‘No2 Lavender’ sign!?
To make this storage box you will need…
4 pieces of 5″ x 5.1/2 chipboard for the 4 sides of the box.
4-8 pieces of 5″ x 5.1/2 pattern paper to cover the chipboard sides.
4 pieces of 1″ x 5.1/2 pattern paper to cover the corners of the box. Score each one along the 1″ side at 1/2″
2 pieces of 6″ x 3.1/2 chipboard for the top of the roof.
2-4 pieces of 6″ x 3.1/2 pattern paper to cover the roof.
2 pieces of 2″ x 6″ chipboard for the sides of the roof.
2-4 pieces of 2″ x 6″ pattern paper to cover the sides.
4 pieces of 3.5/8 x 1/2″ pattern paper to stick on the sides of the roof.
1 piece of 6″ x 1″ pattern paper to stick along the top of the roof.
1 piece of 6″ x 6″ chipboard for the base.
1-2 pieces of 6″ x 6″ pattern paper to cover the base.
Acetate for the windows, scrap card for the window frames and doors.
Flowers dies, stamps to decorate.
I used green Flower Soft for the grass around the edge. I’ve found something similar here.
The Chipboard I use is from the multi-pack from Every Crafts A Pound.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
I fussy cut tiny butterflies and garden tools from the papers in the collection.
I’m so happy with how this came together and already it is being used and filled with all my sewing threads.
I hope you enjoy this quirky project and give it a go.
Happy crafting
Sam

Love it. Fabulous. I love the sign on top. Completes it perfectly. Thank you.
So cute!! Is there a pattern for this project? I have a Cricut and would love to attempt this project!
Hello, no pattern just written measurements and my YouTube tutorial. Most people just program in my measurements to the digital machine. 🙂
