MIXED UP CRAFT

My Favourite Cardstock

Hi everyone, I’ve recently been getting a lot of questions regarding what cardstock I use so I thought I would list all of my favourite brands below with links to where you can buy them.

I will add a drop-down at the top of my website so you can easily find this information at a later date.

I have used so many different cardstocks and papers over the years and to be honest it always changes.  There are so many great cardstocks out there and many companies purchase from the same supplier or papermill and then add their own branding.

For me, it’s about getting the best value for money, as I’m creating things every day and therefore use a lot of paper and card, so I want to get as much for my money as possible.

Craft UK Limited Smooth A3 card

Currently, for my heavyweight white cardstock, I’m using the 300 gsm/ 110 lb Craft UK Limited Smooth A3 Card which I cut in half. You get 50 sheets but once cut in half I have 100 sheets of A4 card for £8.17 from Amazon, available here.

Craft UK A3 Smooth White Cardstock

As this card is smooth it’s great for stamping on and is alcohol marker friendly. It can take some water, but I wouldn’t really recommend it for water colouring.

I use this mainly for card bases and making gift boxes, gift bags and mini albums.

Dovecraft Premium Textured 12″ x 12″ cardstock

The coloured cardstock I like to use is the Dovecraft Premium Textured 12″ x 12″ cardstock. You get 80 sheets of 220 gsm coloured core cardstock. It’s a lighter weight but perfect for your coloured card bases. Once you add your mats and layers it becomes very strong. This is available from The Range here.
