Hello everyone, today I’ve shared a tutorial on how I made these pretty Thank You cards.
I recently received these new Nova markers from Trimcraft and wanted to use them straight away!
I still very new when it comes to alcohol markers and I’ve only been using them properly for less than a year. My preference has always been watercolour but over the months, the more and more I use markers, the more I’m falling in love with them too!
There are a few ways you can use alcohol markers, the first being, using like a normal felt tip pen and just colouring freely with a block colour finish, the second and one of my favourites is using 1 coloured marker to create depth by colouring multiple layers of the same colour, and lastly by using them in a more professional way by adding more shades of colour to create highlighted and shaded areas.
All of these ways look great and with good quality markers, you can get lovely coloured images.
In my video below I show you how to create this look (pictured below) by using only one coloured marker, I think this is the best way for any beginner to start as this easy technique gives a very professional finish.
These markers are currently available from Amazon here.
Check out my tutorial below for lots of tips on how to use these markers.
The beautiful stamp set I used is the Daffodil Basket by Daisy Mae Designs and is available from Craft Stash here.
Thank you for stopping by.
Happy crafting
