Hello friends, today I’m sharing this handy desk storage to hold my die cutting plates.
These are always lying around and fall down the back of my unit so I decided to make this.
This will hold the 6″ x 9″ cutting plates and smaller but it will also hold some stamping platforms, scoreboards, and other things.
I made 2, one for me and one for my mum.
TO MAKE THESE I USED
Little Miricle papers by Dress My Craft available here.
Hydrangea Lawns papers by Dress My Craft available here.
The Chipboard I use is 2mm and from Every Crafts A Pound here I get the multi-pack.
The metal corner protectors I showed are from eBay here.
The Collall Book Binding glue is available here.
THE MEASUREMENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS ARE…
2 pieces of 2.1/2 x 4″ chipboard for the sides.
2 pieces of 9.1/2 x 4″ chipboard for the front and back.
1 piece of 3.1/2 x 10.1/2 chipboard for the base.
2 pieces of 4.1/2 x 6″ pattern paper to cover the sides.
2 pieces of 9.1/2 x 6″ pattern paper to cover the front and back.
1 piece of 12″ x 5.1/2 pattern paper to cover the base.
2 pieces of 2.3/8 x 3.3/4 coloured paper to cover inside small sides
2 pieces of 3.3/4 x 9.3/8 coloured paper to cover the inside of the front and back.
1 piece of 2.1/4 x 9.1/4 paper to cover the base of the box.
1 piece of 2.3/8 x 9.3/8 coloured paper to cover the underside of the base.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
I hope you like this storage idea, and it’s useful for some of you.
The big bow not only looks pretty but can also add support for the sides.
As always thank you for stopping by.
Happy crafting
Sam

This is a beautiful box to hold your plates in! I love the kitty paper too!!! Excellent tip on keeping the blades that do not cut paper any longer. For some reason I have kept them, so now I know exactly what to do with them, cut chipboard!! I shall be making at least 1 of these boxes. TYFS Sam
