Slim Line Pop-Up Cards

Hi friends, I want to start making a lot more Slim Line cards this year and started with this beautiful pop-up version.

I had purchased the Piano die last year and had been meaning to use it, then I had an idea to do a Slim Line Pop-Up Card and thought the piano die would work perfectly in this shaped card.

I pulled out my Papercraft Society Box 14 for all the floral detail and the Papercraft Society Box 9 for the sentiment.

For the front of the card, I used the other die that comes with the piano to continue that music theme.

You can write inside the card if you like, however, I tend to write on the back so that all the lovely design can be displayed and enjoyed.

SUPPLIES USED TO MAKE THESE CARDS

Piano Die available here.

Papercraft Society Box 14 available here.

Box 9 has been sold out for a while as it’s an older kit.

MEASUREMENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS CARD

You can make the slim card as tall and wide as you like, mine is 8.1/4 x 8.1/4 card scored at 4.1/8 as I used A4 card size. If you have letter paper size, I would cut it to 8.1/2 x 8.1/2 and score at 4.1/4

1 piece of 3″ x 1.1/2 card for the pop-up piece.

Score along the 3″ side at 1″, 1.1/2 & 2.1/2

2 pieces of 7.7/8 x 3.7/8 and 2 pieces of 7.5/8 x 3.5/8 to mat and layer the front and back of the card.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it

Happy crafting
