Hi everyone, today I’m sharing a fun pop-Up card idea using any shape nesting dies.
If you’re a cardmaker who enjoys die-cutting the chances are you own some nesting dies.
I added little DIY springs between each layer to allow the card to Pop-Up when displayed.
No measuring is needed, any shape and size can be made and they are quick to make too!
I used my star dies to make a Christmas card and a Congratulations card.
You have lots of space on the back to stamp and write your message!
SUPPLIES USED TO MAKE THESE CARDS
Creative Craft Products Nesting dies are available here.
The Star nesting dies I used are available here. They may be in the older packaging.
North Star 8 x 8 paper pad, check eBay, and any independent craft stores.
I can’t find the cardstock I used, but it’s a very pale blue/gray colour.
I will link the sentiment stamp set when it becomes available.
Measurements needed for the springs and stand/stopper
For each spring you will need a piece of 2.1/2 x 1′ card.
Score along the 2.1/2 side at 1/2′, 3/4′, 1′, 1.1/2, 1.3/4 & 2′
1 piece of 2′ x 1′ card for the stand/stopper.
Score along the 2′ side at 1/2′, 1′ & 1.1/2
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
Happy crafting
Sam
