Hello friends, Nan has been visiting again over the summer, so of course, we had to squeeze in some cardmaking!
After making the Pop-Up Explosion Cards I had the idea to add a centre scoreline and change it into an Explosion Star Card!
I had these very cute decoupage sets which fit this card size perfectly, and Nan loved them too!
I knew she would want hers to be red, so she has Mrs. Clause and I choose blue to match the cute Santa toppers.
Unfortunately, I didn’t take any photos of Nan’s card and she took it back with her, but you can see her lovely version in the tutorial below.
This is a 6 x 6 size card, but if you would prefer a 5′ x 7′ version, check out my other tutorial here and just add the centre scoreline.
SUPPLIES USED TO MAKE THESE CARDS
I’ve found the Santa kit here.
I’ve found the Mrs. Clause kit here but I can’t see if it includes the toppers or not.
MEASUREMENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THESE CARDS
1 piece of 12′ x 6′ card for the card base.
Score along the 12′ side at 6′
1 piece of 12′ x 6′ card for the explosion part.
Score along the 12′ side at 3′, 6′ & 9′
4 pieces of 3.3/4 x 3.3/4 & 3.1/2 x 3.1/2 for the triangular mats & layers.
1 piece of 3′ x 1′ card for the topper to attach to.
Score along the 3′ side at 1/2′, 1′, 2′ & 2.1/2
