Crafting with Nan

Explosion Star Cards | Our best cards so far!!!

Hello friends, Nan has been visiting again over the summer, so of course, we had to squeeze in some cardmaking!

After making the Pop-Up Explosion Cards I had the idea to add a centre scoreline and change it into an Explosion Star Card!

I had these very cute decoupage sets which fit this card size perfectly, and Nan loved them too!

I knew she would want hers to be red, so she has Mrs. Clause and I choose blue to match the cute Santa toppers.

Unfortunately, I didn’t take any photos of Nan’s card and she took it back with her, but you can see her lovely version in the tutorial below.

This is a 6 x 6 size card, but if you would prefer a 5′ x 7′ version, check out my other tutorial here and just add the centre scoreline.

I’ve found the Santa kit here.

I’ve found the Mrs. Clause kit here but I can’t see if it includes the toppers or not.

1 piece of 12′ x 6′ card for the card base.

Score along the 12′ side at 6′

1 piece of 12′ x 6′ card for the explosion part.

Score along the 12′ side at 3′, 6′ & 9′

4 pieces of 3.3/4 x 3.3/4 & 3.1/2 x 3.1/2 for the triangular mats & layers.

1 piece of 3′ x 1′ card for the topper to attach to.

Score along the 3′ side at 1/2′, 1′, 2′ & 2.1/2
