I love making Explosion Boxes the designs are endless and they are perfect for any occasion.  I had seen the Graduation style done on Pinterest and needed to give it a go.

Most Explosion Boxes are done using 12 x 12  card scored at 4′ & 8′ on all 4 sides giving you the standard 4 x 4 box. I didn’t have any black 12 x 12 left so instead I used 2 sheets of A4 card, this worked really well and allowed me to make a taller 5′ box.

To make my design you will need…

4 pieces of 4 x 9 black card.

Score along 9′ side at 4′ on all 4 pieces.

5 x 5 black card for the cap.

8 x 8 black card for the lid.

Score at 1′ & 2′ on all 4 sides.

To make the mini envelopes you will need 6 x 6 paper and the envelope punch board.

3 x 6 patterned paper for mini cards score along 6′ side at 3′

White paper for inside cards 5.3/4 x 2.3/4 score along 5.3/4 side at 2.7/8

4 white pieces of embossed card for background 4.5/8 x 3.1/2

2.1/2 x 5′ white paper to roll up and make a scroll

3′ of red ribbon to tie the scroll.

4 die cut 1′ circles.

7′ coloured ribbon and a tassel

I used Papermania by Docrafts Mr Mister papers.
