Unusual Gift Boxes & Bags

Beautiful Tall Hexagon Gift Box

This week I had a lovely day shopping and was lucky enough to pick up some great bargains!!

One of them was this lovely Reef Diffusor, I must admit I was sucked in by the beautiful packaging, however fortunately they smell wonderful to.

This is a really tall box around 14′ so I couldn’t make mine as big but it gave me inspiration to make this version.

I’m so pleased with how well these turned out. I have make a hexagon box before but it was much shorter and wider.

The focus on this one was the floral stamping, I didn’t follow a pattern and filled in any gaps with some free hand doodling.

To make these boxes you will need…

2 pieces of 6.1/2 x what ever length you like.

Score along the 6.1/2 side at 2, 4 & 6

Score along the (what ever length you have) at 2 on both end.

You then need to rotate the card back onto the 6.1/2 side with the 1/2 tab on the right hand side. You then need to place a small notch at 1, 3 & 5.

Check out the tutorial below to see how you need to finished the scoring.

I used two different stamps for my stamping, the main one in a un-known stamp, if any of you lovely people recognize it please let me know.

The other stamp set is my favourite Folk Floral stamp set by Docrafts

The stamp set used for the sentiment it the retired ‘A Happy Thing’ by Stampin Up.

You will also need some ribbon and a hole punch.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.

I hope you enjoy making this pretty box as much as I did.

Happy Crafting
